Procris repens ‘Watermelon Begonia’
Procris repens ‘Watermelon Begonia’ formerly knows as Pellionia repens, is a small herbaceous creeper, with prostrate ground-hugging habit, up to 6″ tall, spreading or trailing up to 24″. Foliage color resembles watermelon rinds or the leaves of certain Begonias and are variable, ranging from grey-green in between brownish to purplish-green edges to almost totally brownish-green, and becoming completely purplish-brown with age. It prefers consistently moist but well-drained soils and is prone to rot under constantly waterlogged conditions.Â
