Medinilla cummingii
Flowers well in containers and hanging baskets indoors in bright light and outdoors in shade to dappled morning sunlight. Long lived blooms are borne in large panicles of pink flowers and berries on long, pendulous stems, commonly referred to as Chandelier Tree. The berries are not edible. It is a semi-epiphytic plant, let dry out between waterings.
*Note to Customers: Medinillas excrete small, round, semi-translucent grains known as “growth sugars”. These growth sugars are completely harmless to the plant and having growth sugars present is actually a tell-tale sign that that plant is healthy and thriving in its current growing conditions.
