Alpinia zerumbet ‘Variegata’
Commonly referred to as Variegated Shell Ginger. Leafy, arching stems create a lush, tropical effect with boldly striped yellow and green foliage. Once mature will produce large, drooping clusters of white and pink shell-like flowers that are sweetly fragrant. Works well in containers and can be used as an indoor specimen. Â Full sun to partial sun. Keep soil moist, but not soggy. Dense, clumping growth habit. When planted in the ground will quickly form clumps 4-7 foot tall and 4 foot wide.
