Haworthia springbokvlakensis ‘Crystal Ball’
**This Haworthia produces its notorious purple coloration when grown in high light, and if the light levels are lowered, the purple may fade to a deep green. Due to this, it is possible that during the shipping process your Haworthia’s color may fade. If this happens, simply place your Haworthia in a high light growing location and in a few days your Haworthia’s beautiful purple coloration will return!**
This haworthia has thick purple succulent leaves that grow in a tight-clumping rosette form. This haworthia remains very short and will just gradually get wider as it ages. With time it will form “pups” and produce new plantlets from the base of the rosette. This plant is extremely drought tolerant and requires high light conditions.
Haworthia springbokvlakensis ‘Crystal Ball’ is a type of Haworthia known as “glass Haworthia” due to their fenestrations AKA “window leaves” that are transparent, which allows sunlight to enter and be focused onto the chloroplasts that are hidden deeper within the succulent leaves, where they are protected from the harsh heat and sunlight of the plants natural environment!
