Medinilla apoensis
Medinilla apoensis has an upright growth habit and some of the largest flowers in the genus. Bright pink blooms average 1.5″ appear on pendant clusters. This hard to find Medinilla is commonly referred to as ‘Philippine Pink’. Performs well indoors in bright indirect light, and outdoors in shade to dappled morn sun. It is a semi-epiphytic plant, let dry out between waterings.
*Note to Customers: Medinillas excrete small, round, semi-translucent grains known as “growth sugars”. These growth sugars are completely harmless to the plant and having growth sugars present is actually a tell-tale sign that that plant is healthy and thriving in its current growing conditions.
